Facilitating collaboration to reduce homelessness in Pierce County

The Uncommon Bridges team is facilitating a Unified Regional Approach to Homelessness in Pierce County, bringing together government, community, and non-profit partners involved with the region’s response to the homelessness crisis. The project hopes to eliminate silos between jurisdictions that limit collaboration.
By working together, jurisdictions can increase their effectiveness by combining resources, sharing data, and aligning on requests for state and federal funding. The approach has been tried in several counties nationwide, where it has been effective in reducing homelessness. The group's March kickoff was covered by the The Tacoma News Tribune.
