Em is an interdisciplinary researcher and strategist focused on urbanism, sustainability, and culture to foster generative, just, and culturally rooted communities.
With a unique ability to align community priorities through strategic, participatory approaches, Em supports research and project development across the firm. She has spearheaded coalition-building efforts, provided technical and transformational support to grassroots climate organizers, and led projects in collaborative design, creative placemaking, and direct support for vulnerable populations. Em’s work on culture, climate, and place has reached diverse audiences worldwide, from a gallery exhibit in a U-Haul truck in Toronto, to presentations at the Stockholm Resilience Centre. Her personal and professional roots span Puget Sound, St. Louis, Denver, and Toronto. Em holds a B.A. in Sociology from Saint Louis University and an M.A. in Performance Studies from York University.
